The Waff.comIran retain the Men’s Futsal titleOrumieh – Iran retained the third WAFF Men Futsal championship title 2012 in Iran, after winning against Jordan 5-0 on Wednesday at the fifth and final match day.
Ahmad Esmaeilpour (9, 11), Hossein Tayebibidgoli (23, 33) and Mohammad Keshavarznasrabadi (40) scored the winning goals for Iran.
In the other match played on Wednesday, Iraq took third place after winning against Palestine 7-4.
Idrees Ghadban Ahmed (14, 30, 37), Hashim Khalid Kadhim (14), Mohammed Ibrahim Ahmed (15), Karrar Mohsin Mohammed (19) and Kamil Shakir Wadi (25) scored for Iraq, while Eid Adnan Alikkawi (2), Mohammed Rebhi Ishtaiwi (8), Mahmoud Haidar Fahajan (12) and Mahmoud Bassam Alneirab (33) scored for Palestine.
Iran finished in first place with 12 points from four matches, while Jordan have 7 point, and Iraq 6 points, then Kuwait with 4 points, as Palestine finished pointless.
Jordanian Samer Naser Aldeen won the MVP award, while Iranian Javad Asgharimoghaddam was the top goal scorer, and his compatriot Alireza Samimi was the best goal keeper.
