This is Nottingham/Nottingham PostFutsal fans given a chance of courseFriday, May 11, 2012TEENAGERS are to be given the chance to do a scholarship in the sport of futsal.
The BTEC level 3 course is being offered through Notts County's Football in the Community project.
The two-year course will be available from September for 16 to 19-year-olds. The project is recruiting young people who want to learn more about the sport – a type of football with a less bouncy ball.
Martin Carruthers, a former Aston Villa, Stoke and Hull City striker, now education manager with the project, said: "Learners will gain qualifications enabling them to access university or find employment in the sports industry."
