New Straits TimesWar's 15, D'Team take the honours in Kuching23 May 2012WAR'S 15 conquered the 7th leg of the Milo Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival over the weekend at the Sports Planet in Kuching.
They proved too strong for WAR'S H2 -Generation in the Boys' Under-16 final.
WAR'S 15 emerged winners in a penalty shoot-out after both teams battled to a goalless draw after full-time.
The 7th leg attracted a total of 74 teams in the Under-12 and Under-16 categories.
In the Under-12 final, D'Team from Kuching prevailed 3-1 over White Tiger Junior FC, also from Kuching.
The top two teams in both the categories in the 7th leg qualified for the Grand Finals on Sept 16.
They won medals, prizes in cash and kind from Milo and FIGOS. The champions won RM800, the runners-up RM600, while the third and fourth teams got RM400.
Tony Merill, Sampling and Event Manager Nestle Sarawak, presented the prizes to the winning teams.
The 8th leg will be held in Kota Kinabalu Sabah on June 2 and team interested are urged to register early.
Entry fee is RM50 per team.
