New Straits TimesSupa Strikas challenge for youngstersKUALA LUMPUR: Young footballers who adore the animated series Supa Strikas should make a beeline for the Sports Planet Ampang on June 3.
The Supa Strikas Ultimate Futsal Challenge will be held in conjunction with the school holidays and organisers expect a competitive atmosphere with strong fan support from each participating team.
The objective of the event is to allow players Under-17 years old to experience a futsal tournament on a national level, and also to add an exciting and healthy activity to their calendar for this mid-term school holidays.
Organisers will also bring Malaysia's Caltex-Supa Strikas Freestyle Fever Champion 2010, Raje Freestyler to perform.
A total 64 teams, consisting eight players per team, will battle it out to qualify for the grand final stage.
Winners of the Supa Strikas Ultimate Futsal Challenge will walk away with cash prizes, exciting Supa Strika goodies and Sports Planet vouchers worth RM2,550.
