Hisham Al Gizouli27 May 2012Kyrgyzstan restored hope following their stunning 3-1 victory over hosts UAE in the second round of the ongoing 2012 AFC Futsal Championship 2012 at Al Wasl indoor hall early on Saturday evening. Kuwait took a giant step forward with a smashing 9-3 victory over hapless Indonesia at the same venue.Abdul Rahman Al Faweel struck in the 10th, 13th, 24th and 33rd minutes as Abdul Rahman Alwadi claimed a hat-trick in the 6th, 26th and 35th minute.
Hassan Fawaz and Shaker Almutairi have also visited the back of the Indonesian net on two different occasions.
The Indonesians set the early pace in the 3rd minute but Kuwait hit back to restore hope for a line up in the last eight with one round remaining in the group stage.
In another clash, Lebanon made a quick return to the competition with a narrow 3-2 win over Chinese Taipei. The Lebanese turned a courageous face following their heartbreaking 2-3 defeat in the opening round of the competition.
Khaled Takaji and Kassem Kawsan took the Middle Eastern country to a 2-0 lead before Chinese Taipei made a strong return to the match and the two sides levelled before going into the break.
Takaji made it 3-2 five minutes after the restart with what transpired to be the winning goal.
Iran announced that they are still a teamto beat as the continental giants thrashed Korea Republic with an emphatic 14-1 victory intheir first outing of the 2012 AFC Futsal Championship on Friday.
In one of the mesmerizing displays of the 10-time continental champions, two hat-tricks were scored in the match with other two players getting a brace each.
Ali Asghar Hassan Zadeh and Javid Mahdi were the ones scoring hat-tricks.

Ardus duo Sviridov Konstantin and Dilshod Irsaliev scored a goal apiece as Uzbekistan registered its first victory in the AFC Futsal Championship defeating China 2-1 in one of the highly charged affairs of the tournament on Saturday. Uzbekistan came from behind after China took an early lead through captain Hu Jie in the 4th minute.
Sviridov brought the match at 1-1 level in the 19th minute and Dilshod, the scorer against Kuwait on Saturday, scored the winner in the 36th minute.
Uzbekistan survived a late scare when China were awarded penalty with less than two minutes to go but Liang Zhao’s shot was saved by Uzbek goalie Rustam Umarov.
After Jie’s early goal, Uzbekistan were marginally a better sides but the match was evenly contested with both the sides misfiring in front of the goal. Ardus forward Sviridov ensured the Uzbeks go to the halftime with honours even by finding the net in the 19th minutes off the rebound off China goalie Cong Lin.
