Family Futsal Tournament Takes Place in Astana

The Alatau sports complex in Astana is hosting a “Family Football” futsal tournament among family teams.

Astana welcomed 14 teams from Almaty, Kostanai, Petropavlovsk, Taraz and other regions of the country. For many years, the Kukeyev, Zhumabayev and Savchenko families have become permanent participants. However, every year the number of participants increases. This time, the tournament also involves the Kozhabekov family. This family has both amateur mini-football players and member of the Astana young people’s team as well as professional football player Aikhan Kozhabekov.

Aikhan Kozhabekov, TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANT:
-This is a very serious tournament and I treat it seriously. We have been preparing for this tournament for three months. I have a big responsibility, since everyone counts on me. Karim Kozhabekov, my grandfather is the captain of our team. I am happy to play with my relatives and it is a great honour for me.
