Court Soccer B had the best goal average -- scoring five goals and conceding three -- to take home the grand prize of RM10,000.
Dani FC finished runners-up, scoring four and conceding five to walk away with RM7,000 while RG A (scored three, conceded four) finished third for RM5,000.
The top three teams also received meals and trophies for their efforts.
The prizes were presented by Teo Heng Keat, head of Nestle Products Liquid Drinks Business Unit, and Prof Ir Dr Kamal Nasharuddin, president of the Sports Council of Institutions of Higher Learning.
The Grand Finals, which were the climax of an event which began with the first round on May 5-6, saw 18 university and college team competing.
The 3-sided futsal saw three teams competing with three goal posts and one ball played in a 19-metre diameter circular court. O
A total 81 teams competed in the first round while the second round on May 13 saw the top 54 from the previous round doing battle at the Sports Planet Kota Damansara saw the participation of the top 54 teams from the Round 1.
The 54 teams were divided into 18 groups. The top team in each of these 18 groups with the best goal average in a home and away format made the cut to compete in the grand finals.
The 18 teams in the grand finals were divided into six groups of three teams per group. The top team in each of these six groups and the top three teams in the losers pool based on highest goal average qualified for the semi-finals.
The nine teams that made the cut for the semi-finals were again divided into three groups and the top team in each of the three groups based on best goal average moved up to the final.
