Vietnam to join 2013 AFC Futsal Clubs Championship

Vietnam’s Thai Son Nam futsal club has been granted a berth at the 2013 AFC Futsal Clubs Championship.

This information was announced by the Asian Football Confederation's (AFC) Futsal Committee during its meeting in Dubai in preparation for the 2012 World Futsal Cup, scheduled for Thailand in November.

The Committee highly appreciated the Vietnamese futsal team’s outstanding performance at the 2012 AFC Futsal Club Championship’s qualifying round for the Southeast Asian and East Asian regions hosted by Vietnam in March, successfully earning the team a place in the final round.

This has shown the rapid development of Vietnam’s futsal despite its late start.
