The AFC.comMalaysian futsal to go higherThursday, 14 June 2012Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia is set to vastly improve its futsal game with the organising of the first AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching Course in the country now underway in the Sabah state capital of Kota Kinabalu.
The course, running from June 9 to 14, is attended by selected potential coaches from Sabah and aims to educate and develop potential futsal coaches in the nation with proper futsal information.
AFC Head of Futsal Competitions and Development Ali Targholizadeh, the chief instructor in the course, is assisted by Chiew Chun Yong and Mohamad Dali Wahid, both from Malaysia.
Targholizadeh is happy with the course which he feels stands to improve the game in the state particularly and in Malaysia generally.
“This course consists of theory and practical sessions daily followed by exams on the final day,” he told the-afc.com. “The course is open to any coaches who are involved in a coaching career and the whole purpose of the course is to educate and develop futsal coaches in this country.
“The participants will be monitored closely by AFC instructors before they can be chosen to attend the next level of the AFC Futsal Coaching Courses.
“And I believe this course would be an excellent platform for futsal development for Malaysians.”
The 20 participants are Pernando Paulus, Rusli Hassan, Laini Ahing, Sjaifudin Abdul Wahid, Mohamad Asyraaf Abdullah, Itnes Kalang @ Mohamad Ikhwan Abdullah, Darus Abdul Wahab, Jelius @ Tabias Ating, Azman Soaibah, Billyton Vun Ket Ming, Hisyam Abdul Karim, Muhammad Abdul Karim, Qusmaini Noor Rusli, Zaikel Leong, Jorrye Jakiwa, Mohamadd Airel @ Ondre Abdullah, Rosmadih Wasli, Mohamad Azhar Abdul Kadir, Wan Suratman Adnan Wan Roslee and Michael Wong @ Jimie.
