Perthshire Advertiser FridayScottish Futsal updateJun 22 2012Perth Youth FutsalTHE new Perth Youth Futsal season starts on Friday, August 24 and entries are now being accepted for the PYF Skillz School and PYF Coaching Club as well as the PYF U12, U14, U16 and U18 leagues.
Any player or team interested in participating in any of the sessions should get in touch as places in some of the leagues have almost been filled already.
The clubs Perth Saltires team were in League Cup action on Monday night. An exhilarating display of attacking Futsal saw the team overcome Boston Rovers in the semi-final, and then a composed display saw the team overcome Santos in the Final and win the cup for the third year in a row.
The club will be hosting another PYF Level 1 coaching course and anyone interested in joining PYF as a coach should contact Steve to reserve a place on the course which starts at 6.30pm at Bell’s Sports Centre.
The PYF Sportsman’s Dinner will be held on Saturday, September 29 – tickets are now on sale priced £35 each.

League winner’s: Elite League – Fair City Santos (runners-up – Kinnoull JFC). League One – Fair City Pumas (Perth Youth Futsal). League Cup – Perth Saltires (Fair City Santos). Fair Play – Dynamo Brigers. UEFA Futsal entry – Fair City Santos (12/13).
Scottish Futsal League: Player of the Year – Mark Duigan (Kinnoull); Young Player of the Year – Kyle Ballingall (Perth Saltires); top goal scorer – Gavin Price (Kinnoull).
League One top goal scorer – Nick Hutt (Boca Rebels).
The League would like to thank everyone involved this season. After a three-year wait Fair City Santos won the Elite Championship after a hard battle with Kinnoull JFC, FC Pumas had a hard fought battle with Perth Youth Salties and Boston Rovers for the League One title.
Perth Saltires retain the League Cup for the third year running. New boys Dynamo Brigers won the Fair Play Trophy.
Mark Duigan of Kinnoull JFC won the player of the year for the second year in a row, Perth Saltires’ Kyle Ballingall won the young player of the year. The Scottish Futsal top goal scorer was Kinnoull’s Gavin Price with 79 goals, Nick Hutt from Boca Rebels was the League One top scorer with 29. The League are on the look out for new teams to join the league for next season which starts in August with a new format and the winner entering the UEFA Futsal Cup.
Fair City Santos await the outcome of the draw on July 4.
