Shamsaei sought by Italian futsal powers Lazio

It has been reported to us that Vahid Shamsaei, the Iranian futsal star player and the Asian best Futsaler of the year is sought by the Italian futsal club of Lazio.

Sadegh Derogar, the care taker for the Iranian Futsal national team, said today that Lazio is interested to sign Shamsaei for one year without him undergoing any physical or technical tests and also pay him a monthly sallary of 3000 USD. Derogar also added that Lazzio will pay Shamsaei's current club Esteghlal, 6000 USD for the transfer.

It has also ben reported that two other Italian clubs, Roma and Perugia have shown their interest to sign the Asian superstar through their contacts with the IFF."About 10 days ago we received an offer from Lazio. This was one of their several offers for me. At first I was not much interested but I realized that this could open doors for other Iranian futsal players to go to Italy and finaly be good for Iranian futsal so I accepted. The first stage of the negociations are done and we are working to finalize the deal." says Vahid Shamsaei.

"Lazio is one of the good teams in Europe. They have a few foreign players including Italian national team players. They also have the Italian national futsal team's coach. Lazio is one of the best teams of Italy too." added Shamsaei when asked about his knowledge about Lazio.

Even if Lazio's coach Franco Albanesi is not the national futsal team's coach, the experience of Vahid Shamsaei in Italy could be really interesting for international futsal. We'll see...

PLDC - Vahid told reporters: "10 days ago the IFF has received an invitation for Shamsaei from Lazio futsal team." He continued: "This is not the first time that I have received an official invitation from Lazio, and despite the fact that at first I was not willing to go to Italy, after speaking to Mr. Rayzani, I have decided to go and perhaps this move will open up the doors for other Iranian players who will receive offers from Europeans."

It appears that both sides have agreed, and the contract will be finalized soon. At the end, Shamsaei talked about the status of Lazio and said: "This team is among the best clubs in Europe and they use a few foreign players and Italian national team players as well."
