A great news for futsal came! As informed by the FIFA Futsal
Committee member, Dr. Alvaro Melo Filho, Futsal has been officially included in the Panamerican Games 2007 to be held in Rio de Janeiro.
After the request of the Brazilian Olimpic Comittee (COB) Carlos Arthur Nuzman, futsal was officially included in the Panamerican Games of Rio de Janeiro. The COB proposal was approved by the Executive Committee of the Panamerican Sport Organization (ODEPA), in Santo Domingo.
