Dinamo Takes Home the Cup

The Intercontinental Futsal Cup finished with a bang! Dinamo Moscow celebrated their victory over Carlos Barbosa to take home the title.

On the final day of the tournament there was three final games. The first game of the day was to determine fifth and sixth place. Glucosoral faced off against World United. The teams battled through the first half and ended tied 2 -2 going into the second half. However, United was unable to maintain momentum and Glucosoral pulled away. The game ended 8 – 4 in favor of Glucosoral.

The match for third place featured Intelli against El Pozo. The game quickly heated up as both teams vied for the bronze. The game became more and more combative with several yellow cards being given. Jé on Intelli was crucial to the game as he successfully put away several goals. Intelli ended ahead 4 -2.

The championship game was a well played battle for the cup. Carlos Barbosa lined up to face off against the Russian team, Dinamo. The first half was a very equal match, ending tied at 1 -1. Both Rodrigo from Carlos Barbosa and Kaetano from Dinamo received yellow cards as the game heated up. Dinamo scored their second goal of the game and that was all it took. They broke down Carlos Barbosa and scored 3 more goals before the end of the match. Dinamo won the championship game over Carlos Barbosa 5 -1.
