sxmislandtime.comCFU Futsal QualifierHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - St. Maarten has been invited to take part in the CFU Futsal Qualifier games for national teams in the Caribbean under CFU, scheduled to take place from January 22-26, 2016 in Cuba Havana.
A team of 10 local players will represent Country St. Maarten at this event.
It’s a great honor for St. Maarten to be recognized at this international stage and our athletes to have the opportunity to compete against countries such as Cuba, Guadeloupe and Dominican Republic.
Two (2) teams from the Caribbean will qualify for the CONCACAF Futsal Tournament, which will run from May 8-15, 2016 in Costa Rica.
A group of more than 20 players has started with training 2 weeks ago. Out of the group 10 players will be selected to make the trip to Cuba.
