Colombia Unstoppable in Women's Futsal Championship

Futsal, a spanish term for indoor soccer, is played with five players on each side, on a smaller field, usually on an indoor court.

The Colombian national women’s soccer team made its mighty presence felt once again, powering through a 4-2 defeat over Paraguay to reach the finals of the the Women’s Futsal Copa America in Canelones, Uruguay.

The victory came after Colombia came out of the group stages undefeated and with a goal difference of 18, having only let in two in the primary stages of the tournament.

Their 6-0 defeat of Uruguay, which carried them to the semifinals, saw Diana Carolina Velez, Catalina Usme, Corina Clavijo, Naila Tatiana Imbachi and Lorena Bedoya score a cascade of goals.
