BUNDY BLAST SHOW FEELINGS
I forgot to mention last week, but special thanks to the BUNDY BLAST who wore black armbands throughout the national titles in remembrance of CHRIS FISCHER who died two weeks ago. DAVID FISCHER has played with the BLAST for three years and was sorely missed at the nationals. Thanks to John Kowtan and the boys for the display.

SCHOOL TITLES ENTRY BOOKLETS
School titles entry booklets were all posted on Thursday and Friday, not only to all schools across Queensland but also to selected players at schools who have not entered before.
A reminder that the South Queensland Titles are 4th to 19th March and schools from Maryborough down to the NSW border and out to Stanthorpe attend.
The North Queensland Titles are in Townsville 12th and 13th March for schools from Mackay up to Cairns and out to Charters Towers.
In second term we will also have a number of regional competitions throughout May in locations such as Toowoomba, Roma, Hervey Bay, Caloundra, Rockhampton, Mackay, Emerald and Cairns.
If you would like an entry booklet for your school, email me and I'll send one out.
Teams that finish in the top 8 in South Queensland or win their regional tournament are invited back in October for the Champions of Champions tournament.
BAIRNSDALE CALLING
Talking of schools, Mark Leary the futsal coach at Nagle College, Bairnsdale emailed me this week looking to see if any other schools would like to visit them. Both Nagle College and Bairnsdale High, the two high schools in the town, are strong futsal schools.
Bairnsdale is a small town out on the south eastern coast of Victoria and I would certainly recommend it for a visit. It has mild summers and cold winters. The most scenic route is coming south from Canberra over the mountains and then heading west along the coast highway to Bairnsdale. Or you can be lazy and fly into Melbourne and bus it out to Bairnsdale in under 5 hours. I have been there many times with futsal and certainly would recommend it for a holiday. HUMOUR
No more Liverpool jokes form now on. After United losing to both them and Middlesborough this week , I have to go into hiding , as I live with supporters of both.
TRUE GOLFING STORY
Our intrepid Coaching Director for Toowoomba, Lester Oliver is on two weeks holiday at the moment. He put in for holidays to go to the nationals a year ago, but after our friends at NSW futsal changed it , he was left stranded with holidays and no where to go.
When meeting with the Toowoomba committee last week, he informed me he wasn't enjoying his holidays as he was having to get up at 4.00 am each morning to play golf. When asked why he played at that time of the morning he told me because if you played then you didn't have to pay !!
I know wages at the Toowoomba Foundary are poor, but I think our next function should be a fundraiser for Lester's golfing career.
THIS WEEKS JOKE
It was Sunday in Manchester, and the whole United team were attending the 9.00 am Sunday service.
The priest was giving his sermon when suddenly from the roof, in a huge explosion of smoke SATAN appeared. He growled, he sneered and created explosions throughout the church sending the priest and the congregation running.
When the smoke cleared, the whole United team were still sitting in their seats, laughing and joking.
Satan upset, created more smoke and roared 'Are you not scared off me ? '
Roy Keane looked at him nonchantly ' Not really... your brother has been our fitness trainer for five years. '
THATS ALL FOLKS ...SEE YOU NEXT WEEK
