Futsal in schools

Bahrain Football Association (BFA) and Ministry of Education start a new Futsal project in Primary and Elementary Schools.

This year all public schools will participate in national championship in Bahrain. The aim of this project is to create more interest in children to play Futsal. Aref Almannai, leader of Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee in BFA, intends to encourage all young people to practice this sport and to promote the popularity of the players from National Team. To achieve this, players will make exhibitions in the schools and interact with children showing what Futsal is.

However the big action resulting from this project is the introduction of Futsal as a sport to teach in Physical Education Classes. The Physical Education Teachers will have a formation with 30 hours to be able to teach the basic principles of Futsal to their students.

All project born with the initiation of the National Team Under 20 and aims to plan and develop the future of Bahrain´s Futsal.
