FIFA decided the date of the WC 2004 in China Taipei. The fifth edition of FIFA FUTSAL World Championship will be played from 29/11/2004 to 19/12/2004.

the decision of the Finance Committee to donate CHF 1 million from FIFA's Humanitarian Fund to help finance the education of the children of Cameroon's Marc-Vivien Foé, who died during the FIFA Confederations Cup in France in June 2003.
