 GUYANA LAUNCHES FUTSAL TOURNAMENT
Soesdyke Falcons and Determinators will face each other in the opening match of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) national inter-club Futsal tournament on 15 November.
The game is one of six planned for the opening night as 32 teams from around Guyana have been invited to compete for the $100,000 first prize with teams divided into eight groups of four.
GFF President Colin Klass, who is also the chairman of the CONCACAF Futsal Committee, said that the goal of the Five-A-side (Futsal) tournament is to select a national side to vie for CONCACAF Futsal Qualifier to be staged in Costa Rica next year.
Klass disclosed that Colin Aaron returned from a Futsal course held at the Dr. Joćo Havelange Centre of Excellence, Trinidad & Tobago in September and will be conducting clinics for persons officiating in the tournament.
