www.concacaf.comMexico, USA unveil rosters for Futsal quadrangular next monthThe Futsal teams of Mexico and the USA have unveiled their respective roster for an international quadrangular called "
Futsal Goal Cup" next month in Anaheim, California USA.
The event, which includes Canada and Guatemala, will be held from 5-7 December 2003 at the Anaheim Convention Center is hosted by the US Futsal Federation, which is an affiliate body of the US Soccer Federation.
All four CONCACAF teams are in preparations for next year’s CONCACAF Qualification event that eventually leads to the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Championship. A record 20 CONCACAF National Associations will compete in the preliminary rounds of the tournament for one of seven berths to the Final Round in Costa Rica that will advance two teams to the World Championship event to be hosted by Chinese Taipei.
This is the third international Futsal tournament held in the United States in the last two years, as the USA won a triangular event over Canada and Mexico in Washington D.C. in March of last year and then in August 2002, Brazil defeated Mexico and the US hosts to win first-place honours in an event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
