MEXICO’S LIGA METROPOLITANA DE FUTSAL CLAUSURA 2003 CONCLUDES

Mexico’s Liga Metropolitana de Futsal Clausura 2003 concluded on 18 December with UNAM defeating CDI 2:1 in the finals, on golden goal, while in an earlier encounter EDO. Mexico posted a 3:0 win over SCT for third-place honors.

UNAM, who had finished first in the regular season standings with 55 points (18-1-1), advanced to the Clausura 2003 Finals after blanking SCT (Fourth, 12-6-4, 38 Points) 3:0 in the semifinals on 16 December, while CDI (Second, 16-2-2, 50 Points) earned their berth by edging EDO. Mexico (Third, 14-4-2, 44 Points) 6:5.
