CONCACAF suspends Federación Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala

29.12.03 - CONCACAF announced that its Emergency Committee has today made the decision to suspend the Federación Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala (FEDEFUTBOL) from all activities within CONCACAF. This follows the removal from office of the recently elected President of FEDEFUTBOL, Jose Mauricio Caballeros.
This decision will prevent any Guatemalan teams from participation in or attending CONCACAF events. The matter will also be raised with FIFA when the offices of the World Governing Body reopen in the New Year.

The suspension will remain in place pending the re-instatement of the previous FEDEFUTBOL President or further investigation by a Normalization Committee from CONCACAF and FIFA.
