The first stage for the Canadian Futsal Clubs Championship 2004 will start this week-end with the Quebec Futsal Clubs Championship who will start on Saturday February 21st in Lennoxville,QC.
This competition will determine the Quebec Provincial Champion 2004 which will get the right to join the National Clubs Championship along with FC Trois-Rivières(2003 title champion) and Ontario Provincial Club Champion 2004, which will be determined on March 13th and 14th in Kitchener during the Ontario Provincial Futsal Clubs Championship .

For the Province of Québec, the increasement of participation is doing well with many new cities from all over the Quebec's districts/territories involved with Futsal. This is a result of the hard work and commitment from the Futsal Québec's Committee Dominique Martin,Juan Montecinos,Jean-Louis Goyette, Osmin Rivera and former Futsal-FIFA goalkeeper Wilfredo Pacheco who took part of the Washington/Baltimore international Futsal events with the Canadian Soccer Association's squad.
10 cities are engaged this year, the traditional ones are Trois-Rivières,Québec City, Granby, Montréal, Jonquière and St-Jérôme and
the newcomers are Sherbrooke, Lennoxville, Longueuil and Terrebonne.

The competitions will be played with the FIFA-Futsal rules, with some
changes as the add of the FIFUSA/AMF rules as throw-ins and corners with the hands, similar to the Spanish League.

The 2004 Canadian Futsal Club Champion will have the right to participate at the Panamerican Futsal Clubs Championship 2004 who should take place on September 2004 in Lima-Peru.
