EduKick Launches 1st Futsal Tour in São Paulo Brazil, August 2-14.
Futsal Program now added to unique travel camp known for combining Language & Culture Immersion with Professional Soccer Training.
San Francisco, Calif. - March 17, 2004 - EduKick www.edukick.com, the world's leading soccer, language, and cultural travel abroad program for teenagers now offers youth futsal and soccer players (12-17 years old) an exceptional language & culture futsal camp in São Paulo Brazil this summer.
"Youth from North America and around the globe will now enjoy the unique aspects of EduKick's travel abroad program but focused entirely on Futsal training", said Mario Salinas, Director of EduKick Futsal Programs. "Our youth will receive the highest level training with veterans of Brazil's Futsal National Team and São Paulo's professional leagues. The camp consists of 2-3 hours of daily futsal training plus youth and coaches will get to attend professional futsal matches and the practices of top futsal teams like Palmeiras and São Paulo F.C.".
Daily Portuguese language classes with licensed instructors will also be part of the 12 day camp. During the week, youth will train futsal, play "friendly" futsal matches against local youth clubs, engage in intercultural youth socials and attend two (2) hours of language class in São Paulo, Latin America's largest city. On the weekend, the camp will move to the coast where futsal training (across from the beach) will continue along with cultural tours and other leisure activities.
Coaches and league administrators are encouraged to attend EduKick's Futsal Camp in Brazil. Group leaders that bring a minimum of 10 youth will get a portion of their air fare and room and board subsidized by EduKick. "Our futsal camp will serve as an internship for coaches who will observe first hand the training techniques of professional coaches from Brazil's futsal ranks. If we get enough coaches to join their players on our tour, we will organize some unique instruction on tactics and game strategy for coaches", commented Joey Bilotta, Vice President of EduKick.

About Futsal
While futsal was once South America's best-kept secret, it is now a full-blown international sport with some 120 countries playing it worldwide. The sport has already had four FIFA sponsored World Championships. Futsal is expected to become part of the Olympic family during the 2008 games.
Futsal is 5-a-side soccer (4v4 plus a goalkeeper, no walls) played indoors on a basketball court or larger dimensions. Because the sport is a great skill-developer, demanding quick reflexes, fast thinking, and pinpoint passing, it is an exciting game for children as well as adults. Great Brazilian soccer superstars such as Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho all grew up playing the game and credit futsal with developing their skills. Futsal is played with a special low bounce ball to keep the ball in play, necessitating players to use their skills to maintain ball possession.
