Greek Futsal: Premier League Teams on strike!
Although unexpected in this stage of the Championship with the playoffs in hand, a Union of all Greek Premier League clubs went on strike last Monday, refusing to attend their scheduled matches, after failing to come to terms with the Greek Football Association.
The reason was that the Union had submitted a fully analysed proposal to the Greek Football Association last week, with a list of demands which - in the Union's opinion - would make things a lot easier and better organized for the clubs. The final decision for the Union's proposal is yet to be made. The Union, however, believes that the proposal was long overdue and - if accepted - it will lead to the much-anticipated rise of futsal in Greece.
The clubs are more determined than ever and already planning their next steps. Although their choices are limited, they're keeping their fingers crossed...
