Bad news for Benfica during the past week. Due to the João Pinto's affair (the ex Alipio Matos assistant was seated in Benfica's bench even if suspended) the Portuguese federation punished the Uefa Futsal Cup finalist with three matches lost (against Alpendorada, FJ Antunes and Modicus, round 7-8-9). Considering that in the pitch Benfica defeated Alpendorada and Modicus and had a draw against Antunes, the Luis Moreira's team has now 7 points less, while Sporting has been discharged for the Israel case (Sporting was accused to have played with the ex Boavista player without waiting for the five days that the laws of the game provided in these transferts).

After the 21st round Sporting has now 11 poinst more that FJ Antunes (surprisingly defeated by Mocidade d'Arrabida in the last round) and 13 more than Benfica, when 9 rounds are missing before the end of the season (last portuguese season without play - off).
