El Salvador, Mexico hold Futsal training camps

26.3.04 - The Futsal Technical Directors of El Salvador and Mexico held training camps over the weekend in preparation for their two-game North/Central Preliminary Series in May.
Mexico’s Josué Rodriguez selected 23 players for camp at the Gimnasio ENED in Ciudad de México from 26-28 March, while newly appointed El Salvador’s Futsal coach, José de la Cruz called in 14 for training at the FUSALMO in San Salvador from 24-26 March.

The other two-game North/Central Preliminary Series (to be completed by 31 May 2004), has Canada facing Panama and Honduras taking on the USA.

The three North/Central Preliminary Series Winners will join three representatives from the Caribbean Football Union Tournament in Trinidad & Tobago (19-23 April), along with Cuba, and the host, Costa Rica in the eight-team CONCACAF Final Round in July that will qualify two nations to the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Championship to be held in Chinese Taipei from 22 November – 12 December.
