Panama names Futsal technical director

16.4.04 - The Federación Panameña de Fútbol named Marcos Babau Assumpçao Carneiro technical director for the Futsal team at a press conference on Friday, at the Hotel Four Point Sherton in Ciudad de Panamá.
The Brazilian native Carneiro announced a training roster of 35 players that will prepare Panama for their two-game CONCACAF Futsal Preliminary Series against Canada at the Gimnasio Roberto Durán on 21 and 22 May.

The victor will join two more North/Central Preliminary Series winners and advance to the 2004 CONCACAF Futsal Final Round Qualification in July, along with Cuba, three more qualifiers from the Caribbean Football Union Tournament and the host, Costa Rica.

The eight-team CONCACAF Final Round will qualify two nations to the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Championship to be held in Chinese Taipei from 22 November - 12 December.
