Guangzhou has secured its championship ahead of one round with 55 points with 4 games to play in the next round. The withdrawal of Dalian Shide futsal from the league made the league champion easier to predict.
Chengdu Lummy futsal club team, coached by the Brazilian Farinha, has been the target for the rest of the teams to contest in the Chinese Futsal league. It is considered that the Chengdu team is the only one that executes the authentic Brazilian futsal tactics here in China. However, the Guangzhou team plays the part of the awesome opponent to Chengdu. which is never beaten by its counterpart. Again in this round, Chengdu lost to Guangzhou by the penalty after an optimistic lead by 2:1, reminiscent of the game on last round.
Farinha was the coach of the Chinese National futsal team in the Asian Qualifier for the world futsal championship in Macau at the end of last April. China team had advanced to the quarterfinal by beating Malaysia and drew the Asian powerhouse Thailand. It was the first time that China made such a standing in the futsal international competition.
