Third Division (Group A) Champions Konica Gunners Futsal Club were crowned as Maltese Cup winners for the first time after beating Hibernians 6-4 in a very exciting match.

Konica Gunners were leading 3-1 just before half time but the suspension of Oliver Mallia (Gunners) changed the result to 3 - 3 and therefore there was no choice but to play the extra time. During the extra time the Gunners made a good come back and scored 3 consecutive goals making the gunners sure of the cup after finishing 6 - 4. Anthony Farrugia, the Gunners Goalkeeper lifted the cup after performing very well and saving 3 penalties out of 4 during the game.

Therefore the Gunners has participated in the Futsal Malta League for the first time and played 15 matches, of which 13 were wins, 2 were draws and declared 3rd Division Champions and Knock Out Champions.

The team also was the only team un-beaten this season.
