Ararat we have to add some interesting informations about the team of the president
Vahakn Atamian:
"Unbeaten" period. Ararat didn't lose a match for an impressive period of time: since March 2001 when
Alpha Bank managed to defeat Ararat 6-4. Since that day there were only 4 draws for Ararat opponents, while the first lost match arrived in the game with
Cyprus College (4-6).
Top scorer. The Ararat player
Loizos Lefkaritis has been announced as top scorer of the league with 51 goals.
Fair-Play example. A great example of fair play was showed by Ararat in this season. During the match against Olympiakos (13/5/2004), on the score of 4-1 in favour of Ararat, an Ararat player collided with the Olympiakos goalkeeper. Both players fell down, referee didn't stop as no foul was done and another player of Ararat scored a goal. Having scored with the opponents goalkeeper injured, Ararat technical staff decided to score an own goal immediately after. This decision was really appreciated: the people in the stadium, referees, players, coaches and opponent team applauded. This is FAIR PLAY.
Next season. Ararat staff is trying to sign new strong players to keep on winning in Cyprus and to attend the next UEFA Futsal Cup in the best way.
