 Hallam Qualify for Sheffield Finals
Reigning champions Sheffield Hallam will defend their title at the FA National Futsal Finals.
Hallam, who will be representing England in the 2004 UEFA Futsal Cup, secured their place in the championships by winning a qualifying league at Sheffield United's Hallam FM Academy.
The unique Futsal tournament is being staged at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield on June 18-20.
George Harrison, league organiser at the Academy, said: "In an evenly fought contest, Hallam just managed to hold off the strong opposition. They enjoyed some crucial victories, which edged them ahead of their rivals.
"The league, which featured 17 teams, was a huge success because they all played in the correct manner. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part."
Sheffield Hallam ended the season just one point ahead of runners-up Hillsborough Phoenix. Doncaster College for the Deaf were third, while HR Media earned a respectable fourth-placed finish.
