Hull's regional league in England

ALL STARS REACH NATIONAL FINALS

Anlaby All Stars will be Hull's representative at the FA National Futsal
Finals.

The five-a-side team secured their place in the tournament thanks to a 100
per cent record in Hull's regional qualifying league.

Anlaby finished top of the table with seven wins out of seven and five
points clear of Parkside Raiders and Trades FC.

The Futsal Finals are being staged at Sheffield's English Institute of Sport
on June 18-20, with the winners representing England in the UEFA Futsal Cup.

Hull's regional league took place at the Warners all weather arena and
organiser Mick Matthews believes Futsal is becoming popular with the public.

He said: "It is a much better game than the normal five-a-side football.
Most of the teams played Futsal for the first time this year, but they are
all looking forward to returning next season.

"We have had a lot of great feedback from everyone who took part. We are
planning more leagues and hopefully this will be the kick-start for Futsal
in Hull. I can see the game growing from strength to strength."

Anlaby are one of 16 teams to qualify for the finals, following the
completion of regional tournaments across the country.

Other qualifiers are from Birmingham, Bath, the Wirral, Suffolk, Derby,
Sheffield, Pendle, Grimsby, Manchester, Gloucestershire, London, Oxford and
Cumbria.

Anyone interested in joining the Futsal leagues at Warners should contact
Mick Matthews on 01482 505850.
