As was already known since about two months,
Josè Venancio Lopez Hierro is the new coach of the Division de Honor Club
Lobelle de Santiago replacing Paco Presas. Venancio, who recently won the
Ascenso Play Off series with
EDL Muebles Caloto was officially introduced in Lobelle De Santiago with the press conference held on past June 8th in Santiago de Compostela.
Before starting the new season with the Spanish club,
Venancio will keep on developing futsal with his courses, as he did during the past season.
Today he will leave Spain travelling towards
Costa Rica in order to help
Carlos Quiros in the
CONCACAF Qualifying final round for Chinese Taipei World Championship. Venancio will attend the Costa Rican trainings for a week (10-17/6/2004). This was possible thanks to the support of the Costa Rican Football Federation, through
Hermes Navarro, of the
"Liga de Futsal AFUSCO" through its president
Rafael Vargas Brenes and of the
Sub Committe of Futsal Selections, through
Luis Peraza, a Costa Rican lawyer who is hardly helping futsal development since many years. Venancio will help Costa Rican National team with a technical and tactical work, during a training meeting in the hall of the "Asociación Solidarista de la Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social", a company helping Costa Rican Futsal.
After this week Venancio will move to
Guatemala for some days in order to have a supervision of the works started two years ago with all national teams of Guatemala.
