Futsal England ...
ENGLAND COACH IN SHEFFIELD MISSION

England's newest national football coach will be in Sheffield this weekend (18-20) to scout for potential international talent.

Graeme Dell, who is the coach of the England Futsal squad, is to attend the FA National Finals on 18-20 June.

The prestigious club tournament is taking place at Sheffield's English Institute of Sport on Coleridge Road, Attercliffe.

Futsal is FIFA's official version of 5-a-side football and sixteen teams from around England have qualified for the event, including two teams from Sheffield - the Hillsborough Phoenix and Sheffield Hallam.

England played their first international on home soil last month against Belgium, with South Yorkshire boasting of five representatives in the squad.

Dell will be keeping a close eye on the finals in a bid to find potential new talent.

He said: "This is a good opportunity to view players across a series of games and also gives them a platform to showcase their individual Futsal talent. The door to any of our national teams is always open.

"These are early days for Futsal in England but we have made a start and the talent pool will only get bigger as this annual event takes shape.

"We haven't even completed a full year of our Futsal programme but already I can see that we have some exciting players. We are learning quickly and having bright, fit and focused players will be the key to maintaining that progress. I am hopeful there will be plenty on show for me in Sheffield."

Admission to the event is free and spectators are advised to arrive early to guarantee a seat.

The semi-finals and finals will take place on Sunday, June 20 from 1pm.
Daily kick-off times are: Friday - 6.00pm, Saturday - 10.00am, Sun - 9.30am.
