With reference to the news that we published today (click here to read it!) about the Ferretti's choice for the "Futsal Desafio" against Iran, we have just received a note from the Italian National team coach Alessandro Nuccorini.

"I have spoken with Simi only once, on January 6th, at the end of the match between Lamaro Roma Rcb and Erregi Travel Perugia, in order to congratulate him on his match. Afterwards I didn't come into contact with him again. On March 16th, besides, Simi signed an official note in which he communicated his will to play with Italian Nationa team.
No efforts neither particular expectations, therefore, even becouse it seems to me that Simi, indipendently from his skilness, was slightly confused in many occasions concerning his future.

Different situation about Zanetti*: I have spoken many times with him, considering him as an essential piece of the Italian project.

By the way, I hope that Simi will actually be selected for the Chinese Taipei World Championship becouse I believe that, in a competition like that, all the top players must be involved."


* Sandro Reno Zanetti: the Brazilian player of Caja Segovia, commonly known as Seco
