An important futsal course was held in Uruguay with the presence of the Spanish coach Pablo Prieto, former coach of Azkar Lugo who signed for Vilamar Sevilla in the next season of Division De Plata. The Uruguayan Futsal Committee, through the president Josè Enrique Romero and the National team coach Cesar Robido called Pablo Prieto in order to have another useful and brilliant course after the one organized in the previous season with Miguel Rodrigo (Click here to know more about the Miguel Rodrigo's experience in Montevideo!). The course with Prieto started in Montevideo on May 20th, until May 28th.

The futsal meeting had a 30 persons attendance, shared between coaches, phisical traniers and players. There were three "theory" classes organized in the AUF hall and three practical ones, staged in two hall: the "Cilindro Municipal" (pitch of 40 x20) and in the "Liceo 31". The players involved in the course were part of the National team Under 20 which is currently playing in Fortaleza in the "Sudamericano Sub 20". In addition the Uruguayan club Atletico Peñarol, to improve their skillness, organized a morning meeting with Pablo Prieto, training with their teams "Sub 20" and "A".

Pablo Prieto also attended the league match between Liverpool (Canelones ) and C.A. Peñarol (Montevideo), valid for the fifth round of Group B.

The main parts of the course were:

1) Coaches functions in a club
2) Training direction
3) Way of coaching
4) Analytical or integrated method?
5) Playing system creation or playing philosophy
6) Playing systems and methods
7) Playing systems during the attack phase
8) Playing systems during the defensive phase
9) The counterattack
10) Team analysis: scouting

Cesar Robido expressed his satisfaction for this second experience with a Spanish coach: "Uruguayan futsal is in its development period to come back at the place we deserve, and persons like Pablo Prieto help us in this work."

Also Pablo Prieto confirmed us the succesfull result of this meeting in Montevideo and his satisfaction for the work done.
