Futsal: Costa Rica travels to Cuba for friendlies

In preparation for their quest to defend their CONCACAF Futsal Championship next month (COMPLETE SCHEDULE), Costa Rica will travel to La Habana, Cuba for a pair of friendlies against the host at the Polideportivo Kid Chocolate on 2-3 July.

The last time these two squads met was during the 2000 CONCACAF Futsal Championship, with the ticos beating the cubanos twice in first round of group play (4:2) and then in the finals (2:0).


EL GRAN HIT CROWNED NEW GUATEMALAN FUTSAL LEAGUE CHAMPION

El Gran Hit were crowned the new Liga Guatemalteca de Futsal (Liga Estelar de Guatemala) Champion after defeating the regular season winner Xtreme Exerzone 4:1 in the final match of the 2004 Clausura Tournament on 13 June in Ciudad de Guatemala.

El Gran Hit reached the final match after topping last year's runner-up, Supercable 5:4 in a Playoff game held on 10 June.
