Good news for futsal clubs involved in the next
UEFA Futsal Cup. As reported in the new programme that UEFA communicated for the next edition (2004/2005), the financial support for the groups organizers, both during the first and second round, is increased.
As you can see in the
Article 25 of the UEFA Futsal Cup 2004/2005 Regulations (Financial Provisions) for the two clubs that will reach the final match
UEFA will give
20.000 CHF, about 13.000 € ( 8.000 CHF in the past season), while the organizers clubs of the mini-groups will be provided with
52.000 CHF, about 34.000 € (45.000 CHF in the past edition).
In addition the hosting clubs will have the chance to retain the financial earning given by television rights and tickets selling.
As in the past season 33 countries representative (plus Boomerang as Reigning champion) will play in the UEFA Futsal Cup, even if the Greek representative is in doubt due to the strike of the Greek futsal clubs. According to our informations is now official that the Greek Play Off won't be played, so the next edition of the UEFA Cup could miss the Greek club.
The UEFA new trend is to assign the Qualifying groups to clubs where futsal is less developed, in order to show in these countries the best European teams. Even if nothing is official yet, a group could be held in
Baku by Turan Air, while other hosting club could come from Romania, Poland, England, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Netherland and Slovakia. By the way,
UEFA still didn't communicated it officially.
