As was quite predictable the
Australian national team is the lonely leader of the
OFC Tournament that will offer one place for the next
World Futsal Championship in Chinese Taipei.
The
Scott Gilligan's team seems to be ready to confirm the past trend: the OFC tournament victory always went to
futsalroos in the previous editions.

Scorers:
Solomon Islands: Lloyd Dhawarah, John Iani, Varian Ngunua, Lency Saeni, Paul Simon Sau and Jerry Sam
Western Samoa: Junior Michael, Dennis Bryce, Ki Anufe
VANUATU - FIJI
5-1 (3-0) A spirited battle between the the small nimble Vanuatu team and the big and physically strong Fijian team. The halftime score was a surprise 3-0 to Vanuatu.
The Fijians tried to fight back and until the final minute had a credible 1-1 in the second half.
Scorers:
Vanuatu: Derek Males, Edward Ben, Seule Soromon, Phillip Silas, own goal
Fiji goal: Ratu Rodu
AUSTRALIA - NEW ZEALAND
4-0 (1-0) The battle of the two largest countries of soccer and futsal in the regional with a lot of passion in the game, as a local 'derby' would be. Half time score was 1-0 to Australia with New Zealand looking good in patches and dominating certain periods of the game with Australia looking nervous and mading silly errors. Australia's half time team talk must have done well, as they came out and picked up the pace.
Scorers:
Australia: Scott Manson, Brett Hewitt, Scott Manson and Damian Pilat
