CONCACAF sanctions USA’s John Ball to additional one game suspension

28/7/04 - CONCACAF announced today, at its Futsal Championship event being held in Heredia, Costa Rica, that the CONCACAF Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned USA’s John Ball to an additional one-game suspension after he was found to have used foul language towards match officials.
The incident occurred after referee Emilio Dongu (MEX) sent off Mr. Ball in the USA’s game against Panama on 24 July, for a second yellow card offence in the 30th minute of the second half. Mr. Ball’s use of foul language was found to be in violation of Article 54 of the Disciplinary Code of FIFA.

Mr. Ball has already served his automatic red card suspension in the USA-Guyana Group B match played on 26 July. He must now also sit-out the stars & stripes’ encounter this evening (28 July) against Cuba scheduled for 20:00 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Heredia, Costa Rica
