Élite eight await draw

The draw for the 2005 UEFA European Futsal Championship will take place on 22 September in Ostrava.

Hosts seeded

All eight competing nations - Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Russia, Portugal, Netherlands and Hungary - will be keen observers of the draw which will take place in the city's town hall at 14.00CET. The Czech Republic and Italy, as hosts and holders respectively, will be seeded for the draw, which will see the nations divided into two groups of four.

Fitting venue

The winners and runners-up in each section, to be played between 14 and 17 February will then progress to the semi-finals on 18 February, before the final is played on 20 February. As well as attend the draw, representatives of the competing nations will be able to look at the Cez Arena, the 9,000-seater venue which will stage the finals.
