Next step for Futsal élite

The lineup for the 2004/05 UEFA Futsal Cup is now complete following the conclusion of the preliminary round. FC Mag Varna of Bulgaria will play in first qualifying round Group 8 while SK Tirana of Albania will take part in Group 6.

Round-robin event

All the first qualifying round groups will have four teams except for Group 8 as the Israel Football Association decided not to send a team after logistical and financial reasons meant the domestic league was not finished. There are 31 sides involved in all.

Important dates

The matches will be played between 4 and 10 October, with the eight teams to top the groups all progressing to the second qualifying round to be played from 18-25 March 2005. The two winners of that stage will meet in the two-legged final on 23 and 30 April.
