AGENORE MAURIZI: "NOW I WANT TO WIN WITH ROME, THEN I'D LIKE TO TRAIN ABROAD"

The championship is in stand-by, it's time of balances with Agenore Maurizi.

The standing expresses the real values of this season?

"In this moment I think so, even if Arzignano must play five hard games, and Luparense has wide margins of improvement. Lazio and Reggio Calabria don't deserve the current position in the standing".

Which is the surprising and which the disappointing club until this moment of the season?

"Prato is the big surprise, Lazio the big disappointment. However, I think Lazio can improve its position in the table".

Roma can realize a positive balance to the first "pit stop" of the championship?

"The balance is nice, thinking that we have gained 6 matches and we have drawed other 2 of them".

There is still some aspect on which working?

"The results comfort us, but we must improve under the tactical, psychological and physical aspect".

Coach, what do you think about the way of interpeting your philosophy of game from the new Rome's players?

"Everton has been the best player in this first part of season; I'm satisfied for Ale Pellegrini too, even if he has been injuried for 40 days. Fabiano can improve, but I can't train him much beacuse of the National team.
I'm surprised by Angelini, he works hard unlike than they said".

About the international futsal, what do you think? Arzignano too has confirmed the difficulties of our teams when they compare themselves with other european club...

"I don't think so... Regard to Arzignano, I don't know the reasons of a so fast exclusion. I think that Italian clubs don't win much, but they behave well. I think that Rome in the season 2001-2002 of Champions League has been the only exception".

Do you think that the arrival in Italy of a foreigner coach is always synonymous of quality?

"No, it's only a comparison between different schools of thought. There are good trainers in Italy, but they haven't the support of an adeguate futsal school".

Do you think that an Italian trainer can work well abroad?

"I believe it, there are some italian trainers who could work well abroad".

Last summer you have refused some proposal of foreigner clubs; they say you could train a prestigious team in Spanish futsal in the next season: what can you say about it?

"The last summer I had already given my promise to Rome when a telephone call has arrived from Spain. Now is Fabrizio Correra to manage my public relation abroad. I know that from Spain and also from some foreign Federation they were interested in me, to train some Representative National for the future European and world-wide engagements. Now I concentrate my attention on Rome, where I have found an healthy sphere and serious professionals players to which I'm devoted. I hope to reach the fixed objects with tem.

About the next world championship... It will be a balanced tournament?

"Yes, it will, even if I think Italy and Brazil are the best national team".

What do you think about Italy?

"Italian National will definitely reach the final match".

Your prediction about the final, therefore?

"My prediction is Italy-Brazil, with the curiosity to see all italo-brazilian players to play against a National that don't have considered them. It could be a show in the show for the motivations of the match".
