Greek Futsal History

Dias overtakes Athina 90, Platon is alone on the top

A surprising round for the Greek league, as both league winners main candidates Doukas and Athina '90 were defeated at home. Doukas lost their first ever regular season match at home against Minotavros (8-9) at the end of a thrilling match. Papounidis and Filipou each scored three goals for the winners. Athina 90 lost their first home game in three years against an impressive Dias (4-5). Dias lead all through the game and ended Athina's home streak with a very convincing performance.

Dimitri Nicolaou's Platon had Silignakis (2 goals) and Kouvaras (4 goals) in great conditions and had no problems in overcoming Asteras with another victory.
Platon has reached 4 wins in a row and is enjoying a lonely spot at the top, although their schedule gets tough from now on with three critical matches against title contenders.

Kosmos got a very much needed away win at Aeas 4-5 and seems to be getting back on track in the race to avoid relegation. Finally Iniohos got a basic win against Gerakas 2-7, and got unstuck from the bottom part of the league. Soilemes was critical to his team scoring 3 goals.

The league now is becoming very interesting with many teams fighting for wins that will lead them away from trouble. The league is on fire with all the players giving their best on the field.
