Platon leads the race with a vengeance

A solid performance last night gave Platon a reason to consider themselves among the best this year in Greek Futsal. A convincing away win against championship rivals Doukas has given Platon a spot at the top with an absolute of five wins. The brilliant Haris Grapsas scored 3 goals for the winners, and was vital in the game as he scored the winning goal at the last minute of the game. Dimitri Nicolaou was instrumental from the bench, as he coached with fierce strategy against his former team and got his second win against them. The current leaders are performing great futsal and have become a team of great balance and strategy.

Platon is followed by the also solid team of Dias who managed yet another important away win against Iniohos 4-5. Dias scored at the 39th minute with a goal by Kostas Stamatiou. Dias trails Platon by two points and has shown that they will compete for a spot at the top of the table.

Ethnikos Asteras is coming around after a slow start in the Championship, as they beat Aeas with a determined 13-3 performance. Asteras played without new National Team coach Grigoris Gougoulitsas at the bench for the first time, but showed no signs of disarray.

Kosmos is also bouncing back with their second win in a row over Gerakas 8-1. Kosmos was by far the better team and got a much needed win.

Athina 90 came away with an easy win against Minotavros 9-3, and cruised by what ended up being an easy game. Mihalis scored 5 goals for the winners who had no trouble enforcing their superiority.
