New category... but "usual" country celebrating its representative's triumph. The
Futsalplanet Awards 2004 reached the 4th day, dedicated to the
Best Club of the Year winner announcement. No surprises: after an impressive and unforgettable season the Spanish club
Boomerang Interviu could not miss the
Best Club of the Year's title! After the second place of the past season (in which both Clubs and National Teams were considered as part of a unique category, won by the Italian national team) the "
maquina verde" clearly conquered its category by collecting the satisfactory amount of
1095 points. The second place went to the Intercontinental Champions of
Carlos Barbosa, with
675 pts. Another prestigious and well known Spanish side, the
biancoazul Playas de Castellon obtained the third place of the standing, with the final score of
409 points.
This was the leading trio which came out from a candidates list composed of 60 great futsal clubs. The
Futsalplanet Awards jury casted an amount of
289 valid votes (4335 total points to be distributed).
