During the end of January the Ukrainian national team played some friendly matches in Russia, to replace the deleted friendlies against Belgian National team.
Hennady Lissenchuk, after the already known problems with Shakhtar Donetsk (
click here to read our news) travelled towards Moscow with 19 players, mainly from the team which won the University World Championship in Palma de Mallorca.
The first match was against Spartak Shelkovo (Serhiy Koridze played with Spartak and not for his national team), ended with an Ukrainian defeat (3-4).
