FERRETTI: “Spain deserved to win in Chinese Taipei. No criticism will change this reality. There is a chance to come in Italy in the near future.“

The World Championship ended about two months ago. Is your opinion still the same?

- I believe the title went to the most tactically balanced team. Spain could manage the great pression given by the main opponents like Italy and Brazil and they deserved to win.


Should Brazil regret not having done something more to win?

- Absolutely no, I don't and neither Brazil. All has been done or at least tried in order to win. Now, nothing could delete or change the deserved victory obtained by Spain.


What do you think about the criticism on the few minutes played by some top players like Manoel Tobias or Fininho in Chinese Taipei?

- Who expressed this criticism didn't live with us day after day in Chinese Taipei. The relation between a coach and his players is based on the trust. Nobody play more minutes just becouse of his name or previous career.

You resigned as Brazilian National team coach, was it a forced choice?

- My contract was intended until the past December 31st. Considering that we didn't win the World Championship and the imminent elections of CBFS, I decided to resign, according to my personal ethics. I have chosen the most elegant way to do it, they would probably have fired me out.


A name of a possible substitute to guide the national team in Brazil

- There are a lot of good coaches in Brazil who could replace me and guarantee an high quality. I don't want to indicate someone in particular just not to create problems for the person who will choose the next coach.


You're back on coaching your club, Malwee Jaraguà. What do you think about Falcao's signing with Sao Paolo FC?

- Every player choose his destiny and I hope his experience will be successful, He was voted as the best player of the world, we are curious to see what kind of result he will obtain playing soccer.


It seems you're planning to work in Italy

- I'd like to try the European futsal, but I have to respect Malwee's staff, as I work there since five years. Anyway, I would seriously analyze a possible proposal from Europe.


You can't probably confirm this fact, but someone is talking about your possible task as a substitute of Nuccorini for the Italian national team, or coaching a top Italian club in the next season...

- This chance for the National team was discussed during the World Championship, but I think Nuccorini is an excellent coach who reached great results. I can't say anything about it, but I can't deny that it would be a charming possibility. It would be an honour to me.
