Surprising, but great, news from Iran! The first ever international match was played by the Iranian Women National team

Two friendly matches were staged against Azerbaijan in the Azadi Complex. The head coach of both teams (Iran A and Iran U21) was Parvin Ramazan

The IRIFF has organized women teams recently (before that all women teams in different sports were under a unique organization). The women national teams just born is managed by the federation vice-president in women football Mrs Sepanji, the woman who founded the first futsal competitions in Iran in 2000.
The interesting point is that there isn't still any football organizations for women in Iran, it's only on futsal, due to some organizing problems.
The hope is to play more international matches, using a kind of sports wearing according to their islamic beleives and, also, to FIFA's rules.

Anyway, even that his cannot be considered an official match sanctioned by FIFA, it was a great beginning! Congratulations to Iranian and Azeri selections! Below you can have a look at the matches details
